1.Entrepreneur from poor community of slum area focusing over widows,physical handicaps,beggars,sweepers etc!! Will collect the used cloth via a online portal or directly!

2. A little source of income for those who have lots of clothes that they donot wear anymore by selling them at nominal prices

Timeline Of The Project

It all started with a Dream of Clothing for poor children around our college, IIT Ropar

There is a divide in this country, where some people have more than the required number of clothes and some don't even have two pieces of fabric to protect their bodies from either the bitter cold or the scorching summer. So to help these poverty-stricken, deprived people we came up with an innovative idea in which we made an entrepreneur who collects clothes from the privileged section either through donations conducted in colleges and schools or by buying them from localities who show their willingness to sell their extra clothes via an online portal.

    Our Humble Beginnings

    Vastra started almost a year ago by when ENACTUS IIT Ropar Team is surveying the local communities and villages of Rupnagar.We found there are thousands of people living without proper clothing which is the first and basic need for survival

    Winter was began to approach plains of Punjab

    Our team had did enough research and was ready to help them during the winter

    So Finally Vastra Was launch . Name Vastra means "Cloth"

    With the greetings of NEW YEAR our team expanded! its reach to Near by Villages of Nanakpura, etc

    With the aim of setting a business model targeting the clothing issue, We came up with the idea of ONLINE "CLOTHING BANK"
    Not only the shelter,blood,food is needed but the equally important is the Clothing,

    So a Clothing Bank Protal was launched which will be maintained by our Enterpenuer belonging to same Poor Community taking and Managing the online orders

    Total collected clothes - 1400
    1. 1000 clothes - from colleges that was free of cost for entrepreneur
